This Dusk bowl in Oatmeal and Ash has been etched with landline and filled with gold lustre to reflect, in this case, Rose Bay, Sydney Harbour, NSW. The bowl is wheel thrown from Australian mid fire clays, glazed with gently undulating Ash glazes and then a third firing done to seal the hand painted gold lustre. The bowl is round to allow the irregularity of the design to sing out.
Each piece is individually made and size and markings may vary slightly which is of course the beauty of a functional artwork like this.

This handmade pottery is thrown on the potter’s wheel using Mid Fire clays. They are then individually hand-carved and glazed from Studio recipes with Ash, Oatmeal and Crackle glazes.
Fired to 1200degrees
