The Riversong Platter draws from the Merri Creek, where I sing with a choir of like-minded souls. It is a place of rhythm and connection, and that sense of quiet gathering sits at the heart of this piece.

Organic in form, the platter is slab built and hand carved, with small river pebbles resting across its surface. It is finished in a signature Coal glaze, with markings that echo the Australian landscape.

This is a feature piece of quiet character, designed to hold space within the home.

Due to its varnished surface, created to reflect the wetness of a creek bed, it is not suitable for food use.

Item Details

This handmade pottery is slab built using Mid Fire clays. They are then individually glazed from Studio recipes with High gloss and Coal glaze to reflect the Australian landscape.

Fired to 1200degrees

Dimensions: Approximately 29 cm (W) x 3 cm (H) with a soft organic form that is always determined by the clay slab
