Each urn is shaped by hand from natural Australian clay, refined through years of practice. The soft glaze and organic form are inspired by the stillness of nature, with gentle curves and subtle textures that invite touch — a comforting, physical reminder of love, connection and life’s ongoing presence.
With a 4-litre capacity, the urn is thoughtfully sized to hold the ashes of an adult, providing a dignified and secure resting place for someone deeply cherished.
A small tea-candle dish is formed into the lid, allowing space for quiet reflection, ritual, or moments of stillness.
Each Unearthed Ashes Urn is a collaborative, custom-made piece. For this particular urn, feathers held special meaning for the client I worked closely with. The exterior was deeply carved to create a tactile, unique surface, and a candle space was incorporated at the top to offer gentle light in remembrance. A personal message can also be added to the base if desired.
This work is created slowly and intentionally, and I’m always happy to discuss your ideas in a calm, compassionate way.
