The Billabong Platter reflects the colours, textures and quiet beauty of the Australian landscape. Crafted from grainy clays, it is finished with deep Chocolate and Graphite glazes that flow and merge through the firing process, sometimes revealing unexpected hints of dark green.

With an abstract quality and organic presence, each platter carries its own unique glaze movement and character. Designed for sharing, gathering and storytelling, its generous form brings a grounded beauty to the table and the home.

Wheel-thrown and finished with Unearthed’s studio-made glaze recipes in our Preston studio, the platter is designed to feel balanced in the hand and at the table, with a satisfying weight that celebrates handmade ceramics.

Handmade in Naarm/Melbourne from Australian clay and finished in studio-made glazes.

Each piece is individually made, with natural variations in tone, texture and glaze forming part of its unique story.

Item Details

This handmade pottery is thrown on the potter’s wheel using Mid Fire clays. They are then individually glazed from Studio recipes with Bronze Graphite and Chocolate glaze to reflect the Australian landscape.

Fired to 1200degrees

Dimensions: Approximately 29 cm (W) x 3 cm (H)
